Poem 2 The grass below me, I sit and watch
the sunlight fade away
The sky grows dim and I think of times
happier than today

Darkness surrounds as I'm homeward bound
Thinking "Now what do I do?"
I remember the words of a smiling friend
"God has a plan for you"

As I look up at God, I think to myself
"How do you want me to feel?"
From joy to despair, to fighting off tears
Everything seems so unreal

So now I look up in the sky
calm, a work of art
I look in my soul to find a way
